Support for your child and family
With the huge amount of JIA information available on the internet it can be extremely difficult to know how to access accurate, up-to-date information. The following websites are regularly updated and contain a wealth of accessible and useful information:
Arthritis Research UK:
Arthritis Research UK is a registered charity which aims to raise awareness and improve our understanding of all types of arthritis. One of the charity’s goals is to ‘reduce pain and disability in children with arthritis, allowing them to have a normal future’. There is a lot of information about JIA available on their the website, including an informative guide for teenagers.
Children’s Chronic Arthritis Association (CCAA):
The Children’s Chronic Arthritis Association (CCAA) is a UK registered charity which aims to provide help and information for children and families affected by arthritis. The CCAA aims to give practical help and support to families that are affected by JIA and organises an Annual Weekend for children and their families. This is a great opportunity to meet other families from around the UK living with JIA. To find out more about the CCAA please visit their website or Facebook page.
